Rice mill helper shot dead by unknown gunman in Bangued, Abra

Bangued, Abra – While on the road at Sitio Bacsil, Dangdangla, Bangued, a 36-year-old man was gunned down by a yet-to-be-known suspect resulting in his untimely death.


The incident transpired around 9 p.m. of Friday, June 21, exactly a week after the shooting incident that happened in Barangay Calot, Bangued.


On board of a motorcycle, the victim was then headed to the area when a man appeared before him and shot him on the chest with the bullet coming out of his back.


The suspect immediately fled the scene after.


Notified of the incident, Bangued police came to the rescue and ferried the victim to a nearby health facility but he was declared dead on arrival.


The victim was identified as Dranreb Gimayen Bulda, a rice mill helper, and a resident of said area.


No ballistic evidence were found in the crime scene.


Police now has persons of interest linked to the crime as they have known that the victim came from a drinking session where he had an argument with some of his drinking buddies.


Continuous investigation of the case is also being conducted to hasten the identification of the suspects to help bring justice to the victim’s family.
