Rider in Benguet dies after crashing into police vehicle

La Trinidad, Benguet – A laborer riding a motorcycle died after crashing into a Philippine National Police – Special Action Force (PNP-SAF) Man Truck morning of May 18 in Sitio Tomay, Tawang, La Trinidad.

The Mt. Province Broadcasting Corporation reports that the victim was identified as Marvin Sagandoy Sab-it, 28 and a resident of Papasok, Tawang, La Trinidad.

Based on the initial report of the Benguet Provincial Police Office, Sab-it was riding a motorcycle coming from Boted,Tawang La Trinidad and was headed towards Barangay Bahong when the accident happened.

Accordingly, the rider accidentally hit the left, front part of the PNP SAF Man Truck Troop Carrier driven by Police Master Sergeant Ricardo Juan Peranel. The impact left the rider with fatal injuries.

The victim was immediately ferried to the Benguet General Hospital, but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

Further investigation of the case is on-going.
