Rider in Tabuk dies in road crash; shabu found in his wallet

Tabuk City, Kalinga – A motorcycle rider in Tabuk City was dead on the spot after his vehicle crashed head on into a pickup on All Souls’ Day along the Provincial Road in Purok 6, Bulanao.

Said rider was riding a Honda XRM with his 18-year-old back rider, traversing the road towards the direction of FF Cruz around 1:50 a.m. on November 2. As they reached Block 3, the motorcycle crashed into a Hilux which came from Gawidan and was making a left turn towards Purok 1.

The impact of the collision sent the motorcycle off balance, hurting its two occupants, whose names were withheld by the police.

Responding personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection, as mentioned in the initial investigation of the Tabuk City police, tried to revive the motorcycle rider who at the time had zero pulse. He was brought to the hospital but was declared dead.

The 18-year-old back rider, on the other hand, sustained a fracture in his left leg while the 62-year-old driver of the pickup and his passengers were safe and unharmed.

Meanwhile, the BFP personnel who responded to the incident turned over the deceased’s wallet to the police investigators who later discovered five pieces of sachets containing substance suspected to be shabu.

Follow up investigation on the case is ongoing.
