Santa Marcela among PH SubayBAYANI top overall performer 2023

Santa Marcela, Apayao - The local government unit of Santa Marcela has been recognized by the Department of the Interior and Local Government for being one of the 35 national awardees for 2023 SubayBAYANI.

The SubayBAYANI awards are accorded to top-performing LGUs, PLGUs, and Field Operating Units (FOUs) for their excellent performance in promoting transparency and accountability in the management of local projects through the SubayBAYAN portal and their unwavering commitment to delivering "Matino, Mahusay, at Maaasahang Serbisyo."

Awardees, according to Municipal Local Government Operations Officer (MLGOO) Mary Beth Dumapay A. Micu, were evaluated based on their performances in ensuring that the projects implemented at the local level are monitored and reported in accordance with applicable laws and issuances, and have demonstrated astounding adherence to the assessment metrics which include timeliness, completeness, accuracy, quality, supervision, and administration and operations.

The DILG likewise awarded the municipality with SubayBAYANI Special awards this 2023, for the notable efforts of the LGU and the DILG field office in the implementation, monitoring, and administration of locally funded projects, and instituting innovative practices in the conduct of its monitoring and evaluation.

Only nine localities in the Philippines have received this coveted award, with Santa Marcela being one of them.

Mayor Evelyn Martinez acknowledges that these outstanding achievements were an offshoot of the collaborative efforts and commitment of LGU officials and that such accolades provide more encouragement for better public service execution.

Martinez received Santa Marcela's awards during the awarding program held on November 16 in Paranaque City.

Governor Elias C. Bulut Jr., along with the mayors of Luna and Pudtol, also received accolades in the same event for being 2023 SubayBAYANI best performers.
