Santa Marcela, Apayao police recovers stolen motorcycle in Allacapan, Cagayan

Santa Marcela, Apayao- A motorcycle stolen in Barangay Consuelo, Santa Marcela early morning of Oct. 07, 2023, was recovered in the afternoon of the same day by the police force of said town in Barangay Kapagaran, Allacapan, Cagayan.

The stolen motorcycle was a red Euro Wave 110, suspected to have been stolen about 1:00 a.m.

The owner, Alejandro Buscas, a resident of the aforementioned barangay in Santa Marcela said he parked his motorcycle along the highway on Friday afternoon. When he woke up Saturday morning, he was astonished the motorcycle was no longer there.

Buscas immediately reported the incident to the police. With the immediate response of the Santa Marcela police and a piece of lead information from the confession of a man in the barangay, the two suspects were located in Allacapan.

When the authorities went to the area, the suspects, whose identities are withheld, fled when they saw the police patrol car approaching. Fortunately, the motorcycle was left behind.

The stolen vehicle was recovered but some of its parts were missing.

Buscas, meantime, said he plans on pressing charges against the suspects.

Last week, some residents saw these perpetrators trying to steal a Yamaha MIO 125 and a Honda TMX125 motorcycle. The locals believed that the suspects decided to take Buscas's Euro Wave 110 which was parked along the road after failing to take their first two targets.

Meanwhile, the Santa Marcela police force warned wrongdoers of the consequences for such acts, cautioning the public to be vigilant against this kind of theft that has recently been experienced in town.
