Santa Marcela LGU conferred with SGLG Award; receives P1.1M incentive fund

Santa Marcela, Apayao – The Local government Unit of Santa Marcela led by Mayor Evelyn B. Martinez was recognized by the DILG as one of the 577 municipalities passers nationwide of the esteemed 2024 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) on December 9.

Mayor Martinez, along with Vice Mayor Mayor Rolly Guiang, LGU Department heads, SB members, MLGOO Mary Beth Micu, and some Punong Barangays, received the awards comprising a plaque of appreciation and an incentive fund subsidy amounting to P1,153,000 million at the Tent City of Manila Hotel, in Ermita Manila.

The recognition was an outcome of the LGU’s commitment to excellence in public service and dedication to the principles of good governance.

The provision of the SGLG Incentive Fund, meantime, aims to inspire awardees to boost the implementation of diverse Projects, Programs, and Activities (PPAs) in their area towards inclusive progress and development.
