Santa Marcela, Apayao – Geared up for one of the most anticipated events in Apayao, the municipality of Santa Marcela has chosen its contender for the Search for TAER ti Apayao 2024.
After careful deliberation, it was revealed that John Kenneth Yadao, 18, a grade 12 student from Barangay Barocboc, emerged as the finalist.
On Wednesday, Jan. 17, five (5) young men tried their luck to be selected. Each aspirant was given the opportunity to showcase his charm, wit, and humor through pasarela skills, talents, and articulateness. However, the committee settled on Yadao.
The search is a significant part of Apayao's Founding Anniversary in February, marking it as one of the highlights of the celebration.
This historic event aims to boost the youths' confidence in displaying their desirable abilities and character within the realm of pageantry.
According to the pageant mechanics, Santa Marcela's TAER representative is advised to prepare for a variety of performances, including production numbers, talent showcases, swimwear presentations, native attires, and festival outfits.
Meanwhile, Mayor Evelyn Martinez commended the participants for their enthusiasm in participating in the activity. She emphasized that their involvement reflects the youth's support for the programs of the Local Government Unit.
