Isabela singer asks help in locating teen who stole his hard earned money

Isabela, Philippines – A singer residing in Barangay Cullalabo del Norte, Burgos, Isabela, is reaching out to the public for help in locating a teenager who took away his hard-earned money.

The victim, Boyet Abao, shared his story with 98.5 i-FM Cauayan, revealing that he had known the 18-year-old suspect, Adol Salvador Vilda, also known as Alex Ramos, for long.

Abao had extended his support to Vilda, even providing shelter when he lived in San Mariano, Isabela, in 2022.

Boyet became aware of a concerning incident when he observed Vilda taking something from his bag before. Despite this, Abao generously continued to offer financial support and provide necessary items.

When Boyet relocated to Burgos, he extended his generosity by inviting the teenager to live with him and his wife, Catherine.

The situation took a distressing turn over the weekend when Boyet and his wife tried to wake up Vilda, under the impression that he was asleep. Upon closer inspection, Boyet discovered that the seemingly slumbering figure turned out to be nothing more than a strategically arranged pillow and blanket.

Alarmed, Boyet and his wife, Catherine, checked and found that their savings, accumulated over a year and amounting to over P70,000, had vanished.

The couple promptly reported the incident to the Burgos police, though no updates have been provided as of yet.

Resorting to social media, they are now appealing to anyone who may have information about Vilda's whereabouts to come forward.

Boyet is requesting that Adol or Alex Ramos return whatever is left of the stolen money, emphasizing his willingness to help the young man get back on track.
