Slain NPA in Abra to be turned over to family for proper burial

Abra, Philippines – The slain suspected cadre in Abra will be given a decent burial after his remains will be turned over to his family.


The rebel whose identity is yet to be revealed by the army was allegedly a member of the Komiteng Larangang Guerilla(KLG) North Abra.

As per 5th Infantry Division, the man died after the armed encounter between the government troops and members of the KLG North Abra on Friday, Oct. 13 in Barangay Buneg, Lacub, Abra.


Apart from the dead body, the troops likewise recovered an M16 rifle, magazines and ammunitions, jungle packs, commercial radio, medicine kit, documents and personal belongings believed to be owned by the KLG North Abra.


5ID reported that personnel of the 501st Infantry Brigade already coordinated with the Philippine National Police, the Local Government Unit of Lacub, and the family of the slain person for the turnover of his body to his kin and for his decent burial.
