SLU alumnus is top 6 in May 2023 Chemical Engineers board exam

Baguio City, Philippines – A Saint Louis University alumnus secured the top 6 spot in the May 2023 Licensure Examination for Chemical Engineers.


In the results released by the Professional Regulation Commission on May 22, 472, or 58.93% of the 801 chemical engineering graduates who took the board exam on May 16 – 18 successfully passed.

Among those who aced the test is Alexander Martinez Busto who is a graduate of SLU. He got a rating of 86%, the 6th highest average obtained in the May 2023 Chemical Engineers board exam.


With Busto’s accomplishment, the Commission on Higher Education – Cordillera conveyed their felicitation to the topnotcher and his alma mater.


“CHED-CAR Extends Heartfelt Commendations to Saint Louis University for Producing a Topnotcher and to Mr. Alexander Martinez Busto, Rank 6 with an 86% Average,” the agency wrote in a Facebook post.


It could be recalled that SLU likewise produced two Top 10 in the March 2023 Licensure Examination for Teachers.
