Soldier from Tabuk ranks number 2 after completing military training


Tabuk City, Kalinga – New recruit from the province finished his military training with distinction at Camp Melchor F Dela Cruz in Gamu, Isabela on June 13, 2022.


Private Joel Tabanganay from Tabuk City is top 2 among the 81 graduates of the Kawal na Sinanay ng Isip, Galing, Lakas At Buhay Ang Nilaan (KASIG-LABAN) Class 707-2021.


Tabanganay obtained a general average of 92.62% and also a recipient of the Physical Fitness Proficiency Award.


According to the 5th Infantry Division, top 1 of the class is Pvt Claudine Pasion who hails from Solana Cagayan. The top 3 is Pvt Raymund Natividad of Cabagan, Isabela.

In his message, Major General Laurence Mina encouraged the new privates to adhere to their sworn duty to serve the country, saying that the Philippines and the Filipino people have high expectations from them.


"Sikapin ninyong maging matapat sa tungkulin sa lahat ng pagkakataon at ilagay ang paninindigan sa tama at pagmamahal sa kapwa. Gawing gabay ang kodigo ng etiketa, batas ng pakikidigma, at ang lahat ng leksyon at asignaturang militar na napag aralan ninyo sa inyong pagsisimula sa serbisyo,” he said.


14 of the 81 graduates are from the Province of Kalinga.


It could be recalled that last May 16, 2022, two new privates from the province both concluded their military training as top 3 of their classes. Likewise, two yKalingas who belong to the same batch bagged the Tarzan Award or the Physical Fitness Proficiency accolade.
