Celebrating their 56th Founding Anniversary and 19th Balangkoy Festival from June 15 – 17, the municipal local government under Mayor Evelyn Martinez’s leadership pushed for the pageant to highlight this year’s celebration.

“Yung Libnos ti Sta. Marcela natin ay isang paraan para makapagparticipate ang ating kabataan sa celebrasyon natin for Balangkoy Festival. That is also an avenue for them to boost their confidence and engage themselves in advocacies,” explained Mayor Martinez.

Martinez likewise told that the event is just one of the several activities they have for the youth. The local executive is known for her support of young people pushing for their development in academics, social participation, sports, and performing arts.

“If we want our young people to realize their full potential and reach their dreams, kailangan gumawa din tayo ng mga iba’t ibang paraan at suportahan natin sila sa kanikanilang linya o pangarap. The best way to have better and productive citizens is to put investment in the younger generation,” said Martinez.
