Sta. Marcela LGU enhances employees’ services quality thru values orientation

Sta. Marcela, Apayao – To enhance the delivery of the local government unit’s service to the public, municipal employees of Sta. Marcela underwent an orientation for Values Formation and Ethics in Public Service on Sept. 14 at the EKB Clubhouse.

The program was in relation to the month-long celebration of the 123rd anniversary of the Civil Service Commission (CSC) this September.

Sta. Marcela LGU, according to CSC, was the first ever municipality in the entire Cordillera to hold such orientation which promotes values clarification and commitment for setting of action plans, geared towards effectiveness and productivity in the workplace.

Likewise, it aims to enable participants to accept, apply and advocate the shared values of Patriotism, Integrity, Excellence and Spirituality (PIES), specifically in the context of doing public service.

Being the speaker, CSC – Cordillera’s Public Assistance and Liaison Division Chief Adoraline B. Marigza underscored in the importance of ethical standards in delivering services to the people.

“Knowledge, skills, experiences, and eligibility are all meaningless without a positive attitude," she emphasized.

Mayor Evelyn Martinez, for her part, hopes that LGU staff would demonstrate exemplary character traits in the performance of their duties.
