Stray dog kills motorist in Tuguegarao road crash

Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – A dog that has gone astray caused a crash, killing a motorist along the national highway in Libag Sur, Tuguegarao City night of Thursday, January 26.

A police report, as relayed by DZCV Tuguegarao City, said the victim on board a scooter was about to go home in Solana prior to the accident.

While on the road, a dog dashed in front of his motorcycle causing the accident that sent the victim skidding on the ground.

A van suddenly passed and hit the rider who just fell off his motorcycle.

The victim was rushed to the Cagayan Valley Medical Center but was declared dead on arrival.

Tuguegarao police did not name the suspect and the victim as of yet.

With the said incident, authorities remind anew dog owners to leash their pets to avoid animal-related vehicular accidents.
