‘Sana all’ is all other graduates could say when a student from Kalinga received a bouquet of 1,000-peso bills instead of flowers on her graduation day at the Cagayan State University on July 5, 2022.

In a viral photo, Xeena Amirey Apil of Tabuk City was seen holding not the typical bouquet of flowers students usually get on their graduation, but well-arranged bills worth P75,000.

Xeena finished Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management. She told Guru Press that she was surprised with the present and later found it came from her mother and two elder sisters.

Xeena had a general weighted average of 92%. However, she had a grade of 78 in one of her subjects, which prevented her from being given the Latin honor of Cum Laude.

She explained she missed an activity on the said subject during one of her heart check-ups at Divine Mercy. Xeena has Dysrhythmia which causes her pulse rate to drop to 30-35.

She was also told that she got a low score on one of her oral recitations on the same subject.

It was at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic when Xeena tried to comply with what she missed; however, she wasn’t able to meet her teacher every time she went to the university.

Nevertheless, Xeena graduated with two gold sports awards.
