Student in Tabuk dies in Christmas Day shooting, killers still at large

Tabuk City, Kalinga – A 20-year-old student was found motionless on the side of the road in Barangay Magsaysay after he was shot by still unidentified attackers around 9:40 p.m. on December 25, 2022.

Initial investigation by the Tabuk City police showed that the victim, Adrian Anniban, a resident of Bulanao Norte, was supposed to fetch his brother and his companion in Ubbog, Magsaysay.

Adrian, however, was not familiar with the way going there, so his brother messaged him that they will just meet instead on the street near the Abundant Grace of God Maternity Clinic.

While on the way to their supposed meeting place, the victim’s brother and his companion suddenly heard a gunshot. This prompted them to look for Adrian.

As they come closer to where the sound came from, they saw Adrian’s motorcycle on the ground and the victim already lying lifeless on the road.

Investigation into the case is still in progress.

The family of the young man is seeking justice for his death.

In a Facebook post, the family demanded action and hope the killers face the consequences of what they did. They also appealed to anyone who might have witnessed the crime to cooperate and help them bring justice to the untimely death of Adrian.
