Students in Tabuk gear up for national and international robotics competition

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Young students from Tabuk City National High School are now getting ready for a national and international robotics competition this coming November and December.

These students who are members of the RoboTANAStics will be defending their title in the 3rd National Creotec MakeX Robotics Competition in November.

As recalled, said team won the same competition held in April this year.

Head Coach Engr. Paul Francis Quines revealed there will be three entries or six grade 7 students who will be competing in the starter category. They will be accompanied by two other coaches, Engr. Adonis Eliezer Valderama and Engr. Chester Bawagan.

As of this writing, they are scouting potential 13-year-olds who will compose the team.

Should they win, the students will be joining Clarence Sunday Rodriguez, Ceasar Ace Malannag, and Jeanzhen Gayagay who are set to fly to China for the World Robotics Competition on December 8 – 13, 2023.

These three learners, meantime, will be representing the Philippines in a higher category and they will be handling more complex robots.

Part of their preparation for the international competition includes the training they will be undergoing soon.
