‘Support local producers, buy products’ - Governor James Edduba during Kalinga Agro-fair

Tabuk City, Kalinga—Governor James Edduba, during the opening program of the Agro Fair on Monday, February 10, 2025, encouraged all iKalingas to actively support local producers by buying local products made in the province.

 

The Agro Fair showcases a variety of local agricultural goods and produce, including fruits, vegetables, dishes, basil, slow food, and other delicacies, and highlights the rich culture, heritage, and identity of Kalinga.

 

According to Edduba, these products are not merely food and crafts, but are the result of hard work and dedication of local farmers, cooks, and artisans.

 

 "These products are the fruits of the labor of our farmers, cooks, and artisans. It’s telling a story of Kalingas, resourcefulness, and abundance," he said, reminding the community of the value in supporting what is locally grown and crafted.

 

The Governor called on the people of Kalinga to take pride in their local products, not just as consumers but as active supporters of their own economy.

 

 "As we enjoy the offerings of this agro fair, let us also take pride in our support and support our local products," he encouraged. 

 

Moreover, the father of the province underscored that by purchasing and promoting these goods, the community contributes to the growth of the economy and honors the dedication and hard work of local producers.

 

The Governor likewise emphasized the importance of the Agro Fair in promoting the unique culture and heritage of Kalinga, saying “This event reminds us of the value of spending and promoting our culture—food and craftsman's food". 

 

The Agro Fair is part of the ongoing 30th Kalinga Founding Anniversary and 6th Bodong Festival.
