Suspected killer of 18-yr. old woman in Baguio City identified

Baguio City, Philippines – While the killing of an 18-year-old woman worker in a Baguio City boarding house on September 19 remains unsolved, a progress on the murder case was relayed by Baguio City police a week later.

 

Through CCTV footage and testimonies of witnesses, the suspect of the killing was eventually identified.

 

However, the suspect’s name is yet to be released while appropriate charges are being prepared.

 

To recall, the victim named as Kacey Labayen, was found Friday, September 20, covered with blood inside a boarding house at Purok 21, San Carlos Heights, Irisan, Baguio City

 

Her friend discovered the dead body of Labayen when she visited the boarding house since the victim could not be contacted.

 

She narrated that her last exchange of messages with the victim was at 1 a.m. on September 19.

 

She said that the victim told her that a ‘visitor’ of hers was already at her boarding house. However, the victim failed to tell who her visitor was.

 

The victim was a customer care assistant in a bar in the summer capital.

 

Baguio City police committed to gathering more pieces of evidence to ensure that justice would be served the soonest.
