Tabuk City athletes contribute 4 medals for Region CAR in Palarong Pambansa 2024

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Athletes from Tabuk City contributed four medals in the overall medal haul of the Cordillera region in the recently-concluded Palarong Pambansa in Cebu.

 

On July 9 – 16, 463 Cordillera’s “Fearless Highlanders” represented the region in the biggest sporting event for basic education in the country where they collected a total of 37 medals – 11 gold, 8 silver, and 18 bronze.

 

Of these medals, four – a gold, a silver, and 2 bronze – were taken home by players from Tabuk City.

 

The gold was brought home by Japheth Pallogan of St. Tonis College Inc. in the Group A Boys – 56kg in Wushu, while the silver was won by Shallyne Joy Tallog of St. Williams Academy in Kyorugi Taekwondo.

 

The two bronze medalists, meantime, are Arrianne Rae Bulwayan of St. Williams Academy who played in the Group B Girls – 45kg in Wushu and AJ Angelo Oliveros of Kalinga National High School who represented the region in the Group B Boys – 42 Kg of the same competition.

 

Athletes are not the only ones who excelled in the Palarong Pambansa but also coaches like Rogelio Bosi of Kalinga National High School who was recognized by the CARAA delegation management as the Most-Awarded Coach after all three of his players collected medals.
