Tabuk City District Jail is Best Custodial and Best Escorting Unit in Region CAR

Tabuk City, Kalinga – The Tabuk City District Jail was recognized as the Best Custodial Unit and Best Escorting Unit in the Cordillera during the 3rd Quarter 2022 Regional Gawad Penolohiya held October 27.

The quarterly Regional Gawad Penolohiya recognizes the exemplary performance of the different jails in the region as well as their personnel.

The said award was received by the Tabuk District Jail during the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology – Cordillera Regional Management Conference in Baguio City.

Apart from the unit, six of its jail personnel were recognized for their outstanding service.

Awardees were Senior Jail Officer 3 Ramon Munar Jr. who was conferred Human Rights Officer; Jail Officer 3 Frederick Caramto, the Best Investigation and Prosecution Officer; Jail Officer 2 Percival Miguel as the Best Therapeutic Community implementer; and JO2 Lansigan Bawas, JO1 Jonathan Giwao, and JO1 Jonalyn Bongngat who were recognized as the Best Searchers.

The District Jail Warden, Chief Inspector John Wayland Lapon, elated with the awards the unit and his personnel received, conveyed that the Tabuk District Jail will continue the provision of top services and render quality performance.

“Nasayaat ta adda ti naawat ti unit nga recognition … ken individual awards. I am very happy for all my men who received such awards, and we are also happy that Tabuk District Jail garnered some unit awards and that our efforts are being recognized by the higher office,” he said.
