Tabuk City Math teacher recognized as Outstanding Educator of the Philippines

Tabuk City, Kalinga – The exemplary work and dedication in the teaching service of a young teacher, Raymar Galinggan, was recently acknowledged as Outstanding Educator of the Philippines on December 20, 2022, in Batangas.

Raymar is among the recipients of the said award given by the Salindunong Review and Training Center which aims to recognize the outstanding performance of private and public school teachers in the country.

The awardee has been teaching Math for five years now at the Tabuk City National High School (TCNHS).

Significant accomplishments

Among the significant accomplishments that led Raymar to the title are the services he rendered as Coordinator of the Learner Information System (LIS) and Enhanced Basic Education Information System and Grade 7 Curriculum at TCNHS.

He is also a researcher and he authored and co-authored some internationally published papers. Likewise, he also presented his research paper during the 2nd Department of Science and Technology - Science Education Institute Project STAR International Conference.

Raymar is also the proponent of the innovation entitled ‘Financial Literacy Concept-Based Learning Package in Teaching Measure of Central Tendency for Grade 7’.

Lastly, he ranked 2nd in the National Search for Best Supplemental Learning Materials in Teaching Key Concepts in Mathematics which was sponsored by the DepEd Central Office, BDO and Huawei.

A motivation to do better

Raymar conveyed that the Outstanding Educator of the Philippines award serves as a motivation to keep giving his best in teaching the younger ones and also in working on innovations and conducting studies that will benefit the learners and the younger generation.

“In line with the mantra of DepEd which is "Para sa Bata, Para sa Bayan", these awards will serve as my motivation and inspiration to perform better and to do more exceptional works that will benefit the youth who will be the future of Tabukeños and the whole country as well,” Raymar expressed.
