Tabuk City police capture 23-yr.-old man accused of breaking into boarding house, stealing phones, motorcycle

Tabuk City, Kalinga – A 23-year-old man who broke into a boarding house in Bulanao Norte was tracked by the police and captured to answer allegations against him.

 

Between 2:00 – 4:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 14, the boarding house of a 29-year-old college instructor and a 21-year-old student from Balbalan was entered into by a burglar.

 

It is believed that the 23-year-old suspected thief, whose name was withheld by the Tabuk police, climbed through the main gate and destroyed the padlock to gain entry at the victims’ place on the second floor of a boarding house in Purok Datu.

 

The suspect allegedly stole a unit of iPhone 15 worth P50,000; a Huawei phone worth P17,000; two helmets; and took with him a Honda XRM 125 motorcycle.

 

After being informed of the incident, the Tabuk City police along with the Provincial Intelligence Unit tracked and arrested the 23-year-old suspect.

 

Authorities revealed they were able to recover some valuables from the suspect which included a Huawei phone, Honda XRM, and a laptop owned by Dr. Ulep which was reportedly stolen on August 01, 2024.

 

The 23-year-old was brought to the PNP Tabuk – Bulanao sub-station while waiting for the charges to be filed.
