Tabuk City records 8 deaths due to road accidents in 3 months

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Eight lives were lost to vehicular traffic accidents in the city from January to March 2022, this is higher by 50% when compared to the cases for the same period last year.

In a data obtained by Guru Press Cordillera from Tabuk City Police Station, there were 25 incidents of road accidents documented in Tabuk during the first quarter of the year, this is 10 cases higher than the ones reported for the same period in 2021.


Of the 25 incidents, 8 have resulted in death; 15 resulted in physical injuries, and 2 damaged a property.


The data revealed that most cases were caused by human error which include driving too fast, bad turning, too close, inattentiveness, and fatigue.

Also, the highest number of cases was documented to have happened around 7:00 in the evening while others have happened around 10:00 PM, 8:00 PM, 6:00 PM, 5:00 PM, 3:00 PM, 2:00 PM, 8:00 AM, and 7:00 AM.


Meantime, in 2021, a total of 23 road crash incidents have resulted in death while there were 19 in 2020.
