The awarding was made alongside the distribution of Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOAs) to 772 agrarian reform beneficiaries, in time with the celebration of the Matagoan Festival.

DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella III spearheaded the awarding conducted at the Tabuk City Gymnasium.

The distribution is part of the Sustainable and Resilient Agrarian Reform Communities (SuRe ARCs) Project, aimed at providing farm mechanization projects to support farm-to-market production, increase agricultural output, and boost the income of agrarian reform beneficiaries.

Among farm machineries and equipment provided include 3 units combine harvester with trailer, 3 units tractor with rotovator and trailer, 4 units tractor with corn kit and trailer, 16 units grasscutter, 1 unit hand tractors, 25 units mini-power tillers, 1 rotovator, 1 mini 4x4 truck and a truck.

In a statement, Estrella reminded those who availed of the equipment to take good care of it for it to serve its purpose for a longer period.

This, according to Estrella, is also the desire of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. in order to increase production through the farm mechanization program.
