Tabuk police dole out groceries, clothing to the elderly

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Recognizing the contribution and role of senior citizens in the community, the Tabuk police brought grocery items and clothing during a conduct of lecture anti-illegal drugs, spiritual development, and the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children to the elders in Sitio Balatoc, Barangay Lucog on April 13, 2022.


Police Lieutenant Jean Pacia, the Chief of Community Affairs Division at Tabuk City Police Station said that rice, grocery items, and clothes were distributed to the senior citizens to the said far-flung sitio.

She added that seniors also listened and participated to lectures conducted by the uniformed personnel.


Likewise, the children in the community underwent a separate lecture at the Balatoc Primary School on Spiritual Development; Anti-Illegal Drug; Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004; Anti-Bullying; Rape Prevention Tips; and the Stages of Youth Recruitment of communist terrorist groups.

Pacia said that the lectures aim to equip both the senior citizens and the children with knowledge on social issues and to give them tips on how to prevent crimes, violence, as well as the recruitment of CTGs.


“Staying true to our mandate of serving and protecting the people, Tabuk PNP continues to carry out its Bayanihan sa Barangay in the city. Adayo da gamin ti kalsada dagitoy taga Balatoc isunga we bring our government services at their doorstep,” Pacia conveyed.


The Chief of Community Affairs Division further assured that the people in the far-flung places in Tabuk will not be forgotten in the programs and projects of the police for the communities.
