Tabuk City, Kalinga – Dagupan Centro Punong Barangay George Esteras has renewed his call to business people and vendors to secure their establishments and stalls, following two recent burglary incidents in the barangay.

According to Esteras, a business establishment in Dagupan Centro was forcibly opened by minors who took away goods from the building last week. Days after this, a stall in front of St. Theresita’s School was also ransacked, with items from the food cart scattered on the ground on Saturday morning, April 12.

Esteras, who said they are yet to identify who were behind the incident this Saturday, reminded store owners once again to ensure their establishment is properly locked when leaving in the afternoon or evening. As for food cart owners, Esteras, told them not to leave any valuables in their carts.

“Haan da kuman agibati iti lako da ta iti stalls da, dapat iyawid da amin … kasi nu adda naibati nga lako isu pampa-attract kadagita agtatakaw,” he said.

With minors getting involved in break-ins, the punong barangay likewise appealed to parents to check their children’s whereabouts, particularly when they come home late or when they leave the house at dawn.

“Dagita parents dagita, dapat madlaw da kuma dagiay ubbing da nu rumwar da iti parbangon. I-check da kuma met lang dagiti ubbing da nu adda da iti rabii wennu awan. Nu awan, ket agduda da kuma nu awan diay ubing da inggana 10:00. Masapul mai-check dagiti ubbing tayo ta haan da idak-dakkel iti madi nga aramid,” he said.
