Tanudan and Balbalan give 100% support to Cordillera Regional Autonomy

Tabuk City, Kalinga – In its ongoing quest for regional autonomy, the Cordillera region has the strong support of the municipalities of Tanudan and Balbalan along with the other towns and the city in Kalinga.

 

During the annual Unity Gong Relay in the province held on July 8 at the Kalinga Sports Center in Bulanao, Tanudan Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag represented by Vice Mayor Constancio Dalayap and Balbalan Mayor Almar Malannag and other local chief executives took turn to declare their 100% support for Cordillera autonomy.

 

In a message, Vice Mayor Dalayap relayed that the benefits of an autonomous region are very clear and that the entire Tanudan backs the call for the passing of the Cordillera Regional Autonomy Bill.

 

“On behalf of our mayor, Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag, the officialdom of Tanudan and the constituents of Tanudan… solidly and strongly support the Cordillera Regional Autonomy,” he said.   

 

For his part, Mayor Malannag expressed the same commitment, saying that they in Balbalan want what is best for the region.

 

“Dakami nga taga Balbalan, full support kami nu anya iti pagsiyaatan iti Cordillera. Ammu tayo iti Balbalan ket igid nga ili ditoy Kalinga, banda Abra. Isu nga dakami nga taga Balbalan, dakami iti mangipakita kadagiay bangir nga probinsiya … nga full support kami iti autonomiya iti Cordillera babaen kadatayo nga umili nga taga Cordillera,” he conveyed.

 

The Unity Gong Relay is the kick-off of the 37th Cordillera Month celebration this July.
