Tanudan collects more gold medals in 2024 Kalinga Prov'l Sports Fest

Tanudan, Kalinga – The athletes from Tanudan have outshone their previous performance, securing more gold medals in this year's Kalinga Provincial Sports Festival compared to last year.

 

The delegation collectively earned an impressive 106 medals, consisting of 49 gold, 26 silver, and 31 bronze. Although they maintained the same overall ranking as the previous year, the young players significantly increased their gold medal count compared to the 42 gold medals achieved in the 2023 provincial athletic meet.

 

In a statement, Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag expressed his appreciation for all the student-athletes who represented the municipality in the recently concluded event.


He thanked them for their determination and hard work in showcasing the sporting prowess of Tanudan across various games.

 

The mayor further encouraged the players to continue honing their skills, emphasizing that they should not be disheartened if they did not secure a victory this time, as there will always be another opportunity.

 

Dagadag also acknowledged the efforts of the coaches, teachers, medical team, cooks, drivers, and the LGU employees and officials for their unwavering support in looking after the athletes and ensuring their well-being and safety throughout the four-day event held from January 25 to 28.

 

Looking forward to the next provincial sports events, Mayor Dagadag expressed his hope that the Tanudan delegation will be represented in all contested games and pledged to sustain support for the young athletes.
