Tanudan conducts municipal-wide cleaning, tree planting

Tanudan, Kalinga – Supporting a sustainable environment, the people and officials of Tanudan conducted municipal-wide tree planting and clean-up drive activities last week.

Daniel Suma-al, Environment Management Specialist II relayed that the Tanudan Local Government Unit headed by Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag planted 238 seedlings at the municipal site on Sept. 13.

Three days later, on Sept. 16, a simultaneous clean-up drive in Tanudan was conducted by the LGU employees, national line agencies, associations, barangay officials, and the constituents in the municipality.

Suma-al mentioned that the activities were done to support the campaign against pollution, mitigate climate change effects, and promote a clean and green environment.

Mayor Dagadag expressed appreciation to the LGU employees, officials, and the yTanudans for taking part in the two activities. He likewise enjoined the public to take care of the environment by maintaining it clean and green, emphasizing that if people look after the environment and do not abuse it, it will protect them and other living individuals from calamities and disasters.
