Tanudan, Kalinga – The Sangguniang Bayan in Tanudan honors late Councilor Rizalin Laurentino, describing her works and passion in public service to have left ‘indelible mark’ on the lives of iTanudans.

Councilor Laurentino passed away on February 10 after her battle with Stage IV breast cancer.

Two days since her passing, legislators in Tanudan headed by Vice Mayor Constancio Dalayap convened and passed Resolution No. 2025 – 08 to express the sympathies and condolences of the officialdom and constituency of Tanudan to the family of the late councilor.

In the resolution, the SB noted that Laurentino made an undeniable impact to iTanudans with her two years and eight months of public service from 2022 – 2025. During her term, she was described to have ‘demonstrated unwavering commitment, integrity, and deep passion for serving her constituents’.

Evident to this are the ordinances she sponsored which include, among others, amending Ordinance No. 40 s. 2019 which established the Tanudan Scholarship and Educational Assistance Program to provide better services to the iTanudan students, and the Ordinance which give cash incentives and certificate of recognition to octogenarians and nonagenarians in Tanudan to support and appreciate the contributions of elderlies in the municipality.

“Her leadership, wisdom, and dedication to the welfare of Tanudan earned her the respect and adminration of her colleagues, constituents and the entire municipality,” the body wrote in the resolution, while expressing that the passing of their comrade leaves a ‘profound loss’ to the Tanudan LGU and the municipality as a whole.

The resolution honoring the late local legislator was delivered by the SB members to the family of Councilor Laurentino on February 13 at her wake in Bulanao, Tabuk City.
