Tanudan encourages vaccination of children to ensure safety during face-to-face classes

Tanudan, Kalinga – Parents with children ages 5 to 11 years old in this town are being encouraged to have their children vaccinated against Covid-19 for their protection, especially since limited face-to-face classes are now ongoing with the gradual opening of on-site learning.

In an interview, Dr. Jehan Nikka Sacliwan of the Municipal Health Office appealed to parents to let their children avail of the Covid-19 vaccine and take advantage of the scheduled vaccination in their barangays to protect their children.

She assured parents not to worry since the vaccine had undergone study and was tested to be safe.

“Iti maibagak lang, iti panunuten da kuma ngay ket diay safety iti ubbing da. Haan ta nga agbuteng iti bakuna kasi tested metten dagitoy before pay mapan kanya tayo. Na-test daytoyen tapos immuna idiay NCR, ket awan met iti nangngeg tayo a side effects na,” she said.

He said that the vaccination of kids in Tanudan, which was launched on February 22, 2022, is ongoing in the barangays which is why the April data is yet to be provided.
