Tanudan first municipality to complete Community-Based Monitoring System in Kalinga

Tanudan, Kalinga – Among the municipalities in Kalinga, Tanudan is the first to complete the Community-Based Monitoring System(CBMS) process.


CBMS is a tool which assesses poverty in the local level. It covers the collection of data from the households which shall serve as basis of policymakers and program implementers at the local government unit.


Having completed the process, the Tanudan Local Government Unit headed by Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag accepted the processed data on Oct. 10, 2023 at Sitio Banagao, Poblacion.

Mayor Dagadag received the data from Chief Statistical Specialist Maribel Matute Dalayday in a ceremony attended by Philippine Statistics Authority Cordillera led by Regional Director Villafe Alibuyog, the Provincial Planning and Development Office(PPDO), the Department of the Interior and Local Government, and the officials and employees of Tanudan LGU.


Dagadag, in a statement, first acknowledged the people who worked for the accomplishment of the Community-Based Monitoring System in Tanudan, stressing that their collaborative efforts is the reason for the completion of the needed process.


“Datayo iti inmuna gapu iti panagtitinnulong iti maysa ken maysa. Importante la unay dagitoy a data ta isu iti pagbasaran tayo ken dagiti policy makers ken program implementers tayo iti panagaramid ken panangpatungpal iti programa ditoy ili tayo a Tanudan,” he said.


The turn-over ceremony of CBMS data was concluded with the signing of Memorandum of Agreement that solidified the continuous collaboration among the LGU, PSA Cordillera, and the Kalinga PPDO. The signatories include Mayor Dagadag, RD Alibuyog, Vice Mayor Constancio Dalayap, Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator Flor Moldero, Maribel Dalayday, and Wilfred Andowag.
