Tanudan gets 4 new vehicles for improved emergency response

Tanudan, Kalinga – The people of Tanudan now have four new vehicles which are expected to further improve government services and response, particularly in times of calamities and emergencies.

These vehicles – two pick-ups, an SUV, and a dump truck have a total cost of around P7 million, according to Tanudan Designated Information Officer John Ryan Awingan.

He added that the funding came from the municipality’s Internal Revenue Allotment.

Awingan explained that Tanudan needs more vehicles to ferry individuals, particularly in times of emergencies and other untoward incidents as there is only limited transportation in the municipality.

The information officer further said that the LGU headed by Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag also needs said vehicles to further enhance response to people who are in need.

“Nu adda emergencies kada urgent need for assistance ket ma-accommodate da latta anytime. Kasi ti kayat ni mayor ket marikna da iti serbisyo nga ustu, ken tapnu malag-anan da,”Awingan conveyed, recounting stories of how the people in the locality experienced difficulty in bringing their sick family member to the hospital due to lack of available transportation in Tanudan.

Mayor Dagadag, meantime, encourages yTanudans to never hesitate to send them a message and to contact the LGU if they need to be somewhere especially when it is an emergency. He added that their line is open 24/7.

“Haan kayo nga agduwa-duwa nga tumawag wennu agtext kadakami nu kailangan yu iti lugan karkaru nu emergency. Uray nu anya nga oras, kontaken dakami. Dagitoy nga ginatang iti LGU ket para ken dakayo nga kailyan,” he said.

Apart from the urgent needs of the people, the vehicles will likewise accommodate all other activities and programs in Tanudan.
