Tanudan, Kalinga – Sustaining peace and order is one of the concerns of the current administration of Tanudan, citing it as a vital factor in the continuing progress of the municipality and a reason behind the recognition it recently got as the most progressed town in Kalinga.

Over the past years, Tanudan monitored minimal crimes, making the town one of the most peaceful places in Kalinga. For 2024, the Tanudan PNP only documented two index crimes logged under cases of less serious physical injury.

For 2025, Tanudan aims to maintain the peace and order and to further strengthen their peace initiatives in all barangays, said Tanudan Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag.

In an interview, the mayor pointed that one of the factors which will help them on this is the new patrol car given to the PNP Tanudan. The vehicle along with the patrol cars of the other municipal police stations in Kalinga arrived earlier this month.

Dagadag added that since Tanudan is divided into upper and lower, one patrol car will be assigned for the lower are to serve the needs of the people there, while the other will be for the upper barangays. With this set-up, it will be easier to respond to emergencies and the needs of the people, the mayor further noted.

“Dakkel iti tulong na, tapnu adda met lang mausar nga ag-patrol met lang kadagitoy barangay tayo tapnu ma-maintain tayo latta diay awan iti krimen, awan agar-aramid iti madi,” he said, thanking the PNP headquarters for the additional patrol car for Tanudan.
