Tanudan, Kalinga – Having meager funds but with a desire to provide better mobility for police assigned in Tanudan for their quick response to crime and emergency cases, Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag decided to request a mobile patrol car from PNP Chief General Rodolfo Azurin Jr. during his visit in Kalinga Province on Thursday, September 15, 2022.

Mayor Dagadag took the courage to hand the general a resolution the LGU made explaining the need and benefit of having such a vehicle for the police.

In his request letter, Dagadag said that the mobile patrol car shall help increase the performance level of PNP Tanudan in implementing a peace and order campaign and suppressing illegal drug activities in the municipality.

“Our police officers have difficulty of monitoring peace and order especially criminality and illegal drugs concern due to mobility. Our police officers have only one (1) mobile car. They find difficulty in their peace campaign due to said poor mobility facility,” Dagadag wrote in his request letter.

Alex Ladwingon, Dagadag’s Executive Assistant, relayed to Guru Press Cordillera that General Azurin responded positively to the request and has announced during his speech that he will provide a mobile patrol car not only in the municipality of Tanudan, but also in other municipal police stations in the province including Tabuk City.

Meantime, Dagadag expressed his gratitude to the PNP Chief General for his positive response to the initial request.
