Tanudan, Kalinga mourns death of Councilor Rizalin Laurentino

Tabuk City, Kalinga – The entire Municipality of Tanudan mourns the death of one of their legislators, Councilor Rizalin Ludan – Laurentino who passed away last week.

 

According to her family members, the lady councilor passed away on February 10, 2025, after losing her long battle with stage IV breast cancer.

 

Laurentino served Tanudan as one of the Sangguniang Bayan members for one term. She was the Chair of the Committee on Health, and in her almost three years as public servant, the people of Tanudan and Kalinga witnessed her supportive and active participation in all activities in the town.

 

The councilor is likewise described to be religious, kind, and always standing for the betterment of iTanudans when making decisions and writing resolutions and crafting ordinances. She is further remembered as a down to earth official, even serving guests by herself during programs in Tanudan.

 

In a statement, Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag, who along with the whole officialdom of Tanudan, said he is saddened by the demise of a one-of-a-kind leader expressed his sympathies to the bereaved family.

 

“Malidayan tayo ta naawanan iti Tanudan iti maysa nga naanus, religious, nagaget, ken supportive nga public servant. Ni Councilor Rizalin, kanayun nga panunuten na iti pagsayaatan iti kaadwan ditoy Tanudan,” he said.

 

The mayor added that even though Tanudan lost one of the unequaled officials in the town, the entire municipality is grateful to have been given the chance to be with such a selfless leader who made sure to champion the welfare of every iTanudan. 

   

The remains of the late Councilor Laurentino is at her home in Purok 2, Bulanao, Tabuk City. It will be laid to rest in Dupligan, Tanudan this week.
