Tanudan, Kalinga receives Performance Award in 2022 National Anti-Drug Abuse Council held in Manila

Tanudan, Kalinga – The Tanudan Local Government Unit’s initiative in the fight against illegal drugs in said municipality has been recently recognized by the national government with the LGU being included among the recipients of the 2022 National Anti-Drug Abuse Council Performance Award.


The award is conferred to local government units in the country which recorded successful implementation of anti-illegal drugs initiatives in their localities.

It is also given to those who garnered a perfect score in both the 2021 Anti-Drug Abuse Council functionality audit and awarding assessment.


With the LGU’s exemplary performance, the 2022 National Anti-Drug Abuse Council Performance Award was presented to Tanudan through Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag on December 13 at the Manila Hotel.


In his statement, Mayor Dagadag conveyed that the award is a manifestation of the combined efforts and works of the LGU, the Philippine National Police, the barangay officials, and the community in Tanudan. He also acknowledged the cooperation of former drug users in the municipality who surrendered and chose to begin a new life.


Among the 172 LGUs who are this year’s National Anti-Drug Abuse Council Performance awardees, 11 came from the Cordillera Administrative Region.
