Updated: Aug 19, 2023

Tanudan, Kalinga – Employees of Tanudan Local Government Unit now enjoy a workplace of their own at Sitio Banagao, Poblacion.

The LGU staff and personnel officially transferred and had their first-ever flag-raising ceremony at the new municipal hall this Monday, August 14, 2023, Tanudan Designate Information Officer and Executive Assistant John Ryan Awingan informed.

Said employees had been occupying the Tanudan Evacuation Center at Seet, Mabaca since 2013, while waiting for the building.

The construction of the municipal hall which was started in 2015 was fast-tracked through the P14,901,365.09 funding from the LGU’s approved P50 million Development Project loan. It was earlier stated that if they simply rely on the 20% municipal fund, it will take until 2030 to finish the infrastructure.

On June 24, 2023, the aspiration of finally having a municipal hall was fully realized with the building’s inauguration ceremony.
