948 indigent elders in Tanudan to receive P3,000 social pension this April

Tanudan, Kalinga―The DSWD-CAR through the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office of Tanudan LGU is set to distribute the Social Pension payout of over 949 indigent senior citizens on April 6-8, 2021 as part of the National Government's help in assisting the underprivileged elderly.


Each senior citizen-beneficiary shall receive an amount of PhP3,000 cash stipend for the first semester this year.


Mayor Jaedicke Dagadag emphasized that the grant of cash aid from the national government with the efforts of DSWD-CAR would assist the elderly to pay for some of their bills and other needs, especially their medication.

“Uray nu bassit nga amount dayta ket dakkel ti tulong na kanyada tapno adda pangsupusup da kadagiyay needs da lalo dagiyay medication da ken vitamins da karkaru na ket adu ti senior citizens tayo nga awan sabali nga source of income dan,” he said.


“Para kanyak nga adda ti gobyerno, dapat talaga ket priority tayo nga maikkan ti tulong dagiti senior citizens ta marikna da met ti tulong ti gobyerno,” he added.



Of the 949 social pensioners, 28 are from Barangay Anggacan, 27 from Anggacan Sur, 59 from Babbanoy, 73 from Dacalan, 117 from Dupligan, 66 from Gaang, 48 from Lay-asan, 88 from Lower Lubo, 26 from Lower Mangali, 58 from Lower Taloctoc, 73 from Mabaca, 43 from Mangali Centr0, 79 from Pangol, 35 from Poblacion, 82 from Upper Lub0, and 57 from Upper Taloctoc.


Meantime, to ensure safety of senior citizens especially those in the far-flung areas, the cash distributions will be held in their respective barangays, or in some cases, in their barangay zones or clusters.

Requirements in getting the pension


Senior citizens need to bring with them the following things to get their social pension.

1. Original Senior Citizen ID; and

2. 2 photocopies of ID


For authorized representatives:

1. Authorization letter and certification (forms are available at MSWD Office);

2. Original ID and photocopy of Senior citizen; and

3. Original and photocopy of valid ID of authorized representative.


The LGU further notes that all signatures must be original, and forging of signatures is not allowed.
