Tanudan LGU to hold Municipal Meet from March 2 – 4

Tanudan, Kalinga – Athletes in Tanudan will now get to practice sportsmanship and camaraderie with the comeback of Tanudan Municipal Meet, three years since it was held due to the pandemic.

Said competition, the largest gathering of players in Tanudan, is set from March 2 – 4 at Tanudan National High School in Lubo, John Ryan Awingan, Tanudan Designated Information Officer said.

According to Awingan, the Municipal Meet was pushed through this year as part of the selection of the athletes who will be representing Tanudan in the upcoming Provincial Meet in March this year.

Among the contested events include athletics, swimming, wrestling, boxing, taekwondo, and chess.

With the return of the much-awaited event among the yTanudan athletes, Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag encourages the young ones to enjoy the moment and to take this opportunity to unite and hone their skills in sports.

“Nag-sublin iti Municipal Meet tayo ket iti makunak para kadagitoy u-ubbing tayo ket ipapati da ken denggen da latta dagiti coaches ken trainers da. Alaen da met lang daytoy nga gundaway nga haan lang kuma nga maki-kompetensiya kadagiti kadwa da, nu di ket makihalubilo da met lang iti maysa ken maysa ta maymaysa tayo latta a Tanudan,” he conveyed.

He further assured that the Local Government Unit of Tanudan is in full support of the athletes saying, “iti Tanudan LGU ket sisu-suporta kadayo, mamati kami iti kabaelan yu ket enjoy-en yu latta daytoy Municipal meet ken daytoy umay nga Provincial Meet.”
