Tanudan marks children’s month with various contested activities

Tanudan, Kalinga – Children in Tanudan demonstrated their wit and talent in various contested activities which highlighted the culminating activity of the municipal-wide Children’s Month celebration on Tuesday, November 26, 2024.

 

Children’s Month celebration, as mentioned by MSWDO Violy Awingan, is commemorated yearly to celebrate children’s rights and potentials and support them in cultivating their talents and excelling in what they are interested in.

 

During the event which Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag personally attended, the kids had fun and battled in various activities like quiz bee, draw and tell, on the spot draw and tell, painting, slogan making, extemporaneous speech, impromptu speech, and vlogging.

 

Winners in the different contested events received prizes.

 

In his message, Acting Municipal Administrator Eduardo Bitao stressed that everyone has a role in ensuring that children grow in a free of harm, free of abuse, and free of neglect environment.

 

“As we celebrate Children’s Month, let us remember that protecting children is not just about law enforcement but about shaping a culture of respect, love, and empathy,” he said, urging the public to continue advocating for children’s rights and protection.

 

The 2024 Children’s Month celebration was anchored on the theme: ‘Break the Prevalence, End the Violence: Protecting Children, Creating a Safe Philippines’.
