Tanudan, Kalinga – With his desire to improve all roads in Tanudan to make the life of his people easier, Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag took the chance to request for funding from Vice President Sara Duterte-Carpio during her visit to Kalinga.

Carpio came to the province to attend the Schools Day program of the 28th Kalinga Founding Anniversary and the 4th Bodong Festival on February 13.

On this day, Mayor Dagadag handed his letter to the vice president, lobbying for P20M funding for the improvement of the Alubbagan farm-to-market road in Dupligan, Tanudan.

Dagadag wants to develop the road in order to give the people better access to the market and make it effortless for them to transport their products. He also desires to provide an all-weather road so that traveling will also be less hassle for people and motorists.

As important as the project is, the Internal Revenue Allotment of the Tanudan Local Government Unit is limited and it cannot cover the said road right away.

“Tanudan is among the poorest municipality not only in the province but the nation in general. Almost all the residents belong to the indigent families of the indigenous people of the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR),” Dagadag wrote in his letter.

The request has been received by the vice president.
