Tanudan Mayor Jaedicke Dagadag is unopposed

Tanudan, Kalinga – iTanudans have unanimously chosen who will hold the highest position in the municipality until 2028 with an unopposed mayoralty aspirant for the May 2025 polls.

As the filing of the Certificate of Candidacy closed on October 08, incumbent mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag is the lone aspirant for the mayoral race in Tanudan next year.

The third time could really be the charm as Dagadag’s third bid to lead Tanudan as the mayor will not face any opponent. He first ran in 2019 and sought re-election in 2022; he both won the two polls against other candidates.

Dagadag, in a statement, expressed his appreciation for the continuous trust and support the iTanudans have been giving him since he first entered politics.

“Agyamanak la unay iti agtul-tuloy nga talek ken supporta dagiti taga Tanudan kanyak. Dagiti naaramidan tayo sipud nag-mayor nak idi 2019 ket awan dagitoy nu haan gapu iti tulong ken supporta ti maysa ken maysa,” he expressed.

Dagadag once again solicited the support of the iTanudans, enjoining them to work with him for his third term as the mayor to achieve everyone’s vision for a progressive Tanudan.

“Dawatek latta kuma iti agtul-tuloy nga supporta iti tunggal maysa. Narugyan tayon iti progreso ditoy ili tayo ket itul-tuloy tayo latta para kadagiti annak tayo ken para kadagiti sumar-saruno nga generations,” he said.

While the mayor is unopposed, three political aspirants filed their COC for vice mayor and these include Clayton B. Ballay, Antonio Jr. L. Basungit, and Walter Jr. D. Bumusao.

As for the sangguniang bayan, there are 21 aspirations. They are Matias B. Magsilao, Shelton M. Pao-iton, Federico W. Tinggangay, Christopher W. Tumbali, Elizalde G. Dalunag, Leon B. Bulakit, Brenstand A. Dulagan, Deldie K. Dulawon, Helen A. Gacadan, Solomon T. Dumalleg, Jay Warren S. Kawis, Jomar P. Durdal, Johnny M. Liddawa, Santos G. Domalleg, Rex Allan A. Ballog, Alex I. Ladwingon, Henry Sr. C. Manao, Lourder A. Masa-ao, Eusebio B. Salcanto, Benigno D. Sibaton, and Simeon D. Tangguiac.
