Bacyadan exited the Paris Olympics on July 31 after losing to China’s top seed, Li Qian via unanimous decision.

Before his fight, iTanudans had set up tarpaulins in strategic places in the municipality to wish Bacyadan good luck and on the date of his fight, the people including the local leaders led by Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag gathered in Banagao, Poblacion to cheer their very own.

While the iTanudan fighter fell short in the game, Mayor Dagadag, speaking on behalf of the people in the municipality, conveyed that Tanudan is enormously proud of Bacyadan.

“Agpasalamat kami kanyana ta aw-awiten na iti tribe na nga Tanudan kadagitoy salsalian na.  Maragsakan kami uray kasdiay nga haan nga napagasatan, naragsakan kami nga nangbuya kanyana,” Dagadag conveyed, adding that they are wishing Bacyadan well in the next competitions he will be joining in and that his tribe is here to support him all the way.
