Tanudan remains peaceful with ZERO index crime in July – Sept. 2024

Updated: Oct 4

Tanudan, Kalinga – If you’re looking for the most peaceful town in Kalinga, it can be argued that you should visit Tanudan - just at least an hour away from the province’s capital, Tabuk City.

Authorities in Kalinga mentioned earlier this year that Tanudan is one of the contributory towns in the sustained peace and order status of Kalinga with the municipality having zero crime rate in 2021 and minimal crime incidents monitored the following years.

From July – September 2024, the Kalinga Police Provincial Office revealed there were 22 index crimes or those that are committed against a person and property such as murder, homicide, physical injury, rape, robbery, theft, and carnapping in the province.

None of the figures happened in Tanudan as the municipality documented zero index crimes for the said period, maintaining its zero index crimes from July – September in 2023.

With Tanudan sustaining its peaceful status, Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag commended the PNP in the municipality and the barangay officials and tanods for their continuous efforts in securing the people and ensuring that Tanudan is a safe place to live in and do business.

The mayor likewise acknowledged the continuous cooperation of iTanudans to the authorities, enjoining them to continue the support for a progressive Tanudan.
