Tanudan’s Local Public Transport Route Plan receives notice of compliance; modernized transportation soon to follow

Tanudan, Kalinga – The six-year hard work of the employees and officials of the Tanudan local government has recently paid off after they received the Notice of Compliance from the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board for their public transportation plan.

Tanudan Tourism Officer and LPTRP Focal Person Aurie Mae Banson informed that they started working on the Local Public Transport Route Plan(LPTRP) of the municipality in 2018. She detailed that the plan was crafted to provide modernized public transportation connecting the barangays in the municipality with a terminal in Banagao, Poblacion.

Part of the LPTRP is the Notice of Compliance from the LTFRB, and six years since the plan was drafted, the LGU got the nod from the LTFRB with the latter awarding them the said document at the Municipal Hall in Banagao on November 20, 2024.

Though the LPTRP in Tanudan is yet to be used in the future since the demand of passengers going from one barangay to another every day is still low, given that there are no big businesses yet in the municipality, the Notice of Compliance issued to the municipality will allow drivers in Tanudan to secure their franchise from the province.

Banson explained that drivers in the town who will be travelling from Tabuk to other areas in Tanudan can get their franchise and modernized unit from the provincial government once the latter’s LPTRP gets approved.

This provides a more accessible public transportation to Tanudan soon.

With this development in the municipality, the Tourism Officer acknowledged the people who tirelessly worked behind to achieve it for the past six years especially:  Cridens Dangangao, Bong Bhong Dalyagan, Atlas Isican, Raiza Pallayoc, Chrislene M. Badival, Engr. Wilfred Andowag, Kelvin Magsilao, and Mr. Rudin P. Diwag. She also recognized the support of the Tanudan LGU Officials headed by Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag and Vice Mayor Constancio Dalayap.
