Tanudan, Kalinga – Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag is inviting everyone to come and experience festivity the Tanudan way through the municipality’s 61st Founding Anniversary and 9th Kape Festival celebration on June 24 to 25 in Banagao, Poblacion.
The municipality prepared various activities which show the town’s vibrant culture and heritage and will display an array of products being cultivated and processed in the municipality. Likewise, there will be fun activities for the communities and visitors to enjoy.
Among the lined-up events for June 24 include the opening of the agro-industrial fair where each barangay will have their respective booths and some contested activities like agricultural quiz bee, search for best booths, pig restraining, native chicken weight estimation, coffee beans weight estimation, quiz bee, and the ‘Digdiga Di Tupayya’.
On the evening of June 24, the people will also enjoy a music jam through a live band and a vibrant display of Kalinga weave designs through the ‘Laga Fashion Show’.
Activities for the following day, June 25, include a parade, health and wellness drive, awarding of Mayor’s Cup 2024 winners, and a cultural show.
In a message, Mayor Dagadag conveys that everyone is welcome to participate and witness this year’s founding anniversary and Kape Festival celebration.
“Maawis tayo amin nga umay maki-fiesta ken makipagragsak ditoy Tanudan nu June 24 ken 25. Adu dagitoy in-prepare tayo nga aktibidades, pabuya, ken paay-ayam. Welcome tayo amin nga umay, umili man wennu bisita,” the mayor expressed.
