Tayum, Abra SK decides to spend fund helping students for their online classes

Tayum, Abra – Aiming to assist students in their modular learning and online classes, the Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Gaddani in Tayum town decided to spend their fund by distributing P12, 000-worth load assistance to 40 high school and college students on May 11, 2021.

In an interview, SK Chairman Sharylle Mae Alagao said the fund allotted for the program amounting to P12, 000 is part of the P 259,726.53 SK budget for this year.

“Di gamin budgeting mi ti funds mi, napanunutan mi gamin pandemic met ita su mangted kami met ti tulong para kadagituy estudyante ket online class learning da met garud,” Alagao explained.

Each student was given P300.00-worth load card as part of SK Gaddani’s aid to youth in terms of Education.

How the SK determined the qualification of beneficiaries?

To qualify for said assistance, Alagao said students had to present documentary proof that they enrolled this school year, enrolment form in particular.

“Basta nu sino ti nag-apply kanyami ken nagipasa ti proof nga enrolled da ita nga school year sir, ket isu inlistak ken inikkan mi,” Alagao said.

With the load allowance given even it is not much, the SK official hopes it would be of help to alleviate the burden of students.

Alagao added that they should use the assistance for its purpose because the initiative is just a one-time opportunity because their other funding given to them is budgeted for other priority projects necessary for development of youth in their community.

“Usaren da kuma diay naited nga load para kanyada ti online learnings da ta syempre haan met nga kanayun ket mangted kami kanyada . Barbareng nu addan tu man sumaruno nga maitulong mi nga SK Officials kanyada nga students,” Alagao said.

Among programs to be prioritized by the Sangguniang Kabataan as the Department of Interior and Local Government mandates include programs for Education, Economic empowerment, Social inclusion and equity, Security, Governance, Active Citizenship, Environment and Global Mobility.
