Teachers in Abra affected by ‘Egay’ assured of cash aid


Abra, Philippines – Typhoon-hit teachers in Abra are assured of financial assistance from the provincial government led by Governor Dominic Valera and Vice Governor Joy Bernos.


All private and public teachers, from daycare to college, who were affected by Super Typhoon ‘Egay’ are entitled to the aid, as announced by the Office of the Governor today, August 09, 2023.

Teacher recipients must be currently employed and must be residing in the province.


To avail of the assistance, educators only need to submit to the provincial capitol the requirements as follows: duly accomplished application form which may be downloaded at https://bit.ly/AF4T_STYEgayPHForm; 2 photocopies of School ID/Employment ID/PRC ID; 2 copies of Certification from the Barangay Captain certifying that they are affected by Super Typhoon Egay; and printed photo of affected house/property.


Such documents may be submitted from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. from August 10 to 13, 2023.


The amount of assistance to be given was not yet confirmed by the Office of the Governor.
